Help:

1. Install Google Earth (it's FREE and is a licensed trademark of Google)

2. Open Google Earth - click on "Tools" and then choose "Web" to open the Internet Browser.


3. After the browser opens, type EarthContest.com into the address bar.

4. Click on the EarthContest.com option "Start The Game"

As you play, you'll be given placemarks that will lead you to the next location/clue. When you open a placemark (or .kmz file), you may have to use an unzip program to open it. Windows has a standard unzip program by default. If you don't have one, we recommend WinAce (it's FREE too).

5 . Open the placemark by clicking the link provided. You will be taken to a placemark location like the one pictured below. This placemark description will often feature a clue and a checkpoint location (highlighted in red).


6 . Click the checkpoint link to open the checkpoint (the link is under the EarthContest logo shown above). Now you can enter the "Checkpoint Location" code (shown as 200399FOR above) and enter that code into the box shown below. The codes have been created to prevent cheating.

The Checkpoint code will take you to your next location. Make sure to choose the right path!

As the game progresses, it gets more difficult. Once you complete this game, you will be invited to the Big Game, which is more difficult and has an infinite amount of options.

The game is dynamic so choose carefully
