STEP-BY-STEP
INSTRUCTIONS
1.
Install Google
Earth
(it's FREE and is a licensed trademark of
Google)
2.
Once you start the game, open the Google Earth file.

3. It will open in Google Earth and you will begin
travelling to your next destination.

4.
Click on the placemark to view the location details, clues,
and other possible locations that you can travel to.

5 . After reading the location
details, use the 'Possible Locations'
or the 'Search Cluebase' to
find your next destination. Sometimes 'Possible
Locations' will lead you in the wrong direction.
Here's an example:

6.
When you click on a 'Possible Location'
or 'Search Cluebase' link,
it will open the Earth Contest website inside of Google
Earth so you never have to leave the Google Earth Application.

7.
When viewing location details, you'll see the navigation
bar at the top and search details below. You can also rate
this location to assist other players (or trick them).

The Navigation Bar will help you play Earth Contest.
Search
Click
on the magnifying glass to
search the EarthContest.com Cluebase or Google. Each location
has a unique ID number (such as 188bisdtpiwazde). You can
also search by city, location type (i.e. 'beach') or Keyword
(i.e. 'hidden places'), or Place (i.e. 'Denver Pavilions').

Travel
Click on the airplane, to travel to a location in
Google Earth and to view additional location details.

Re-invent
Location
Click on the lab icon, to re-create a location based
on information you provide. If your changes are accepted,
other players will see your re-invented location when they
play Earth Contest. Use a consistent username and email
so we can keep track of your re-invented locations (coming
soon!).

Own/Lease
Location
Click on the house, to lease a location for your
commercial or personal interests. Since Earth Contest is
seen by thousands of players everyday, stake out your claim
inside the game. Since you're paying for it, no one but
you can change it.

to a friend
Click on the email icon to send a location to a
friend. This works great for team play.
